In today’s busy world, where many young people feel anxious, stressed, and overstimulated, we want to offer them exercises in relaxation. Too often teenagers are swallowed by past events or fearing the future. We want to help, to get students to put down their phones, their computers and to focus on just themselves. On their bodies and their minds becoming aware of their breath and emotions and offering tools to cope with this.
Our online yoga for kids gives children and teenagers the opportunity to notice the their minds, Our mindful exercises and breathing techniques can be a great resource in this regard.
Which reflects the values of our organisation the Oxford Teaching Trust. We focus not just on giving students lots of information but we also give them time to digest and reflect on what they have done through out the week, month and year.

Socially, we speak of connection and interconnection – honouring self and others – all living beings, nature and environment. We practice group activities and partner poses. There is no competition, instead we focus on each child being unique, moving, interaction and learning according to their own needs. Meditation practices offer moments of introspection and contemplation. Essential in today’s busy world and often over stimulating world.
Yoga for Kids offers a range of classes. Each morning, Monday to Friday, you simply wake up, lift open your laptop and start your homeschooling day with yoga and meditation. These cover a full curriculum that stimulates your development – physically, intellectually, socially, emotionally, and spiritually. Combining traditional Hatha Yoga, mindfulness and pedagogy. Our aim is to empower, educate and exercise each student according to their own unique learning styles and abilities.
Harvard recently released a study that linked exercise to improved learning on three levels:
“First, it optimizes your mind-set to improve alertness, attention, and motivation;
Second, it prepares and encourages nerve cells to bind to one another, which is the cellular basis for logging in new information;
Third, it spurs the development of new nerve cells from stem cells in the hippocampus (The area of the brain known for helping with memory).”
What will students need to have for class?
All you will need is a laptop and a yoga matt.
When are classes?
From this September we will be running regular classes.
Join our yoga for Kids on Wednesdays at 12 pm for 45 minutes of mindful body scan, breath exercises, warm ups, yoga poses and relaxation. Our classes are available for all ages and abilities.
